Modfiend Recommends: Lil Mama
Meet my girl Lil Mama. OK, so she's not my girl YET but she will be...one day. This feisty sixteen year old rapper's debut album is coming out later this year on Jive and believe me when I say it is going to blow up. I love Lil Mama because unlike most of the teen pop stars before her, her lyrics are about stuff a sixteen year old WOULD know about and not say, "how to touch a girl" (hint hint, JoJo). In her first single, "Lip Gloss", she rhymes about high school boys checking her out at her locker cause her lip gloss is "poppin." Totally age appropriate and ridiculously catchy.
